What We Believe
Our Statement of Faith - foundational truths that unite us as a congregation
Foundation of Our Faith
The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths serves as a basis of fellowship among us, that we all speak the same thing.
"That we all speak the same thing" - 1 Corinthians 1:10
Our Core Beliefs
The fundamental truths that guide our faith and practice
The Holy Scriptures
The Scripture, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to mankind, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:21
The One True God
The one true God has revealed himself as the eternally self-exist 'I AM', the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind.
Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22
The Deity of Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. We affirm His Virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary work on the Cross, bodily resurrection from the dead, and exaltation to the right hand of God.
Scripture: Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:26; Acts 2:22; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
House of Prayer for All Nations
We are called to be a 'House of Prayer for All Nations' - gathering people from different races, nations, and backgrounds to worship and serve the Lord together.
Scripture: Matthew 21:13; 1 John 3:16
The Adorable Godhead
Understanding the Trinity - One God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
The Father
The Begetter
The eternally self-existent 'I AM', Creator of heaven and earth
The Son
The Begotten
The eternal Son of God, both divine and human - 'Immanuel', God with us
The Holy Ghost
The Proceeding One
Proceeding from the Father and the Son, empowering and guiding believers
Unity in the Godhead
There is that in the Son, which constitutes Him the Son and not the Father, and there is that in the Holy Ghost, which constitutes Him the Holy Ghost and not either the Father or the Son. Therefore, because these three persons in the Godhead are in a state of unity, there is but one Lord God Almighty and His name one.
"And His name one" - Zechariah 14:9
Our Fellowship
Connected in faith while maintaining local church autonomy
Assemblies of God in Southern Africa
We are part of the Western Cape and National Association of Assemblies of God, general conference, while maintaining our local church autonomy.
The Association convenes to promote fellowship and assist recognized Churches, but not to exercise control over them.
International Fellowship
We are also in fellowship with God's Battalion of Prayer Church Inc. Brooklyn, New York USA, connecting us to a global community of faith.
This fellowship strengthens our global vision while maintaining our local ministry focus.
Journey of Faith
We invite you to join us on this journey of faith, as we seek to follow Jesus Christ with all our hearts, minds, and souls.
